This has been my favourite white wine anywhere for years. They have not produced it for a few years, so I am very happy it is back. This wine has a lot of flavour. I think it appeals to red wine lovers that back into white wine and it pairs really well with many foods. Trying it you may love it.
 
Winery notes:
What is Fume Blanc?  Well, Fume Blanc is Sauvignon Blanc with the addition of some oak aging.  The key to the perfect Fume is to ensure that the balance between the fruit and the barrel texture is spot on.  Acidity is a hallmark of this varietal and by adding in that oak aging the winemaker creates more structure and texture on the palate.  This wine fits neatly between Chardonnay and Pinot Gris.
On the nose, look for some tree and tropical fruit as well as hints of toast.  The palate is outstanding with excellent texture and length making this a complex medium bodied wine.
This wine pairs well with poultry, fish, pork loin, summer salads and stir-fry.
