2018 Pinot Noir VQA $18.95

L'Hawk's opinion:

This estate wine is traditional French Pinot with some fruit notes, but nowhere near the fruit and suguar content of West Coast pinots. Its like they are from different grapes.

Winery notes:

The nose is full of cherry, raspberry, earth tones and toasty oak.  The mouth feel is complex and warm, witfh good texture.  The tannins are silky and soft, making this an approachable wine in its youth.

Pinot Noir is a varietal that pairs well with food because it is not overstated.  Meats such as game or rare cuts are perfect for the soft texture of this wine, though it also pairs beautifully with fish or light pasta dishes.
